In the Field with Lanham Window Company
A window install is only as good as what holds it in place and keeps the weather out. We spent time in the field with Lanham Window Company to see which products their crews reach for, opening after opening. Four came up every time.
Pecora 896: Perimeter Sealant
Pecora 896 is a high-performance silicone sealant built for window and door perimeter joints. It holds up to long-term weather and UV exposure, and Lanham crews trust it on brick-veneer installs where the exterior seal has to last.
Bostik DuoSil: Sealant and Adhesive
DuoSil is a urethane acrylic that seals and bonds from one tube, so crews carry less on the job. It's paintable, comes in more than 140 colors, and is low-VOC and non-flammable with easy cleanup. Lanham uses it for interior trim.
Bostik Window & Door Foam and Foam Cleaner
The rough opening is where air leaks start. Bostik Window & Door Foam is made to fill the gap around new units and seal those leaks. The companion Foam Cleaner removes uncured foam from guns and frames before it sets.
Woods Powr-Grip: Vacuum Lifting Cups
Glass is heavy and easy to damage. Powr-Grip vacuum cups give crews a secure grip on glass and other smooth surfaces for controlled lifting and setting. That means fewer damaged units and less strain on the crew.
One Opening. Every Product.
Pecora 896 on the exterior perimeter. DuoSil on the interior trim. Bostik foam in the rough opening. Powr-Grip for the glass. That's the full kit Lanham relies on, and WR supplies all four.
Thank you to Lanham Window Company for letting us film their work.
